Three more Albertans die of COVID-19, 69 new cases recorded

Two hundred seventy-nine people have recovered, while 152 people are thought to have contracted COVID-19 in the community.

The province said Sunday three more Albertans have died of COVID-19, bringing the total deaths in the province to 23.

In an evening press release, the province said it has recorded 69 more cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people confirmed to have been infected in Alberta so far to 1,250.

Of those, 919 cases have been confirmed through lab tests. Three hundred thirty-one are probably cases involving symptomatic close contacts of lab-confirmed cases.

There are 48 people in hospital and 13 in intensive care.
