The final seven Canmore candidates in the 2021 municipal election have filed financial contributions.

Nearly half the Canmore election candidates during the 2021 municipal election have filed financial contributions with the deadline approaching.

Banff councillors Barb Pelham, Hugh Pettigrew and Chip Olver filed the mandatory disclosure statements. All candidates, regardless if they win or lose, are required to file by March 1, 2022.

CANMORE – Canmore residents have chosen their council for the next four years.

“It’s surreal. I’ve been thinking about this for years. I’ve literally had this date in my calendar for years,” Krausert said shortly after learning of his election win. “Now that it has come true, I’m more than ready to work with the new council and do the work to make Canmore the best place possible.”

With paid downtown Canmore parking inevitably coming in 2022, how should the rollout take place, especially after the lessons learned during the first year of paid parking at Quarry Lake and in the Town of Banff?

“Since our body clock follows the sun and the sun is so delayed, it’s going to be really hard to get up and get out of bed and go to work in the morning,”  said Michael Antle, a circadian rhythm expert in Calgary.
