Banff RCMP investigating spate of bike thefts

Banff RCMP suggests bringing your bikes indoors wherever possible and to use heavy duty bike locks

Banff RCMP is seeking the public’s help in its investigations into a recent spate of bike thefts.

Between May 15 and May 30, the targeted areas included Banff Avenue, Beaver Street, Squirrel Street, Caribou Street and the alley between Buffalo and Caribou streets. The stolen bikes ranged from low to high-end bikes.

Banff RCMP suggest bringing your bikes indoors wherever possible and to use heavy-duty bike locks. In addition, ensure video surveillance is used and is in working order.

The police ask if you may have witnessed a bike theft or had your bike stolen, or have any information about the identity of the thieves, to please call Banff RCMP at 403-763-6600.
