The Covenant Foundation is running a 50/50 cash raffle in support of Banff’s Mineral Springs Hospital.

Ticket purchasers will have the opportunity to win up to $5,000 while supporting local health care.

“The Banff Mineral Springs Hospital provides a vital service to Bow Valley residents and visitors,” said Lori Bayne, chair of the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital Community Board.

“This raffle helps support enhanced services and programs that are not otherwise funded by operating dollars.”

Proceeds from the fundraiser will stay in Banff to support the areas of greatest need at the Mineral Springs Hospital – from enhanced care spaces to leading-edge programs and state-of-the-art equipment.

This is the foundation’s second annual 50/50 for the Banff hospital. This year it’s sponsored by 106.5 Mountain FM.

Katherine Captain, vice-president of philanthropy at Covenant Foundation, said by participating in the 50/50 raffle, people are making a life-changing difference for hospital patients, continuing care residents, families and healthcare teams in the community.

“Our thanks go to everyone who buys a ticket to help support specialized local health care at the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital – and we wish everyone good luck in winning up to $5,000.”

Ticket sales are until Oct. 6. with prices one for $10, three for $20, 10 for $50 and 25 for $100. The raffle website is covenantfoundationraffle.ca. The draw date is  Oct. 7.
