No injuries after semi jackknifes near Banff

Crews are working to clear the scene of an accident near Banff.

BANFF – Traffic delays continue Saturday (Nov. 5) near Banff as highway crews work to clear a jackknifed semi-trailer and debris.

According to 511 Alberta, the accident occurred on Highway 1's westbound passing lane in Banff National Park, a few kilometres east of the Banff townsite.

The semi crashed into the concrete median and knocked part of the barrier into the left lane of eastbound traffic.

Police reported no injuries.

Flurries have been ongoing, and five to 10 centimetres of snow is expected to fall today in the national park.
