BANFF – Alberta author, naturalist and outdoorsman Kevin Van Tighem will present from his latest book, Change and Nature (Our Place) at a Bow Valley Naturalists' presentation next Tuesday (Nov. 26) at 7:30 pm at the Banff Senior Centre.

With readings from his book, Van Tighem will discuss some of the ways  Alberta has changed for the better and for the worse over the past several decades. It will be a conversation starter on what Alberta’s nature might be tomorrow.

Van Tighem is known for his recent books, Homeward Wolf, Bears without Fear, and Heart Waters, Source of the Bow River.

He was born and raised in Calgary and met his wife of 37 years at a Bow Valley Naturalist meeting.

Van Tighem worked in Canada’s national parks for 34 years before retiring in 2011 from his final post as superintendent of Banff National Park.

He writes a regular column called This Land for Alberta Views magazine and continues to be active on issues affecting headwaters and prairie conservation.

This event is free and all are welcome.
