LETTER: What’s missing in Sylvie Pappas’ letter to the editor “Youth should be more mature until making life-altering decisions” in the Feb. 29 edition of the Outlook and Keith Thompson’s letter in the March 19 edition, is the recognition that gender-affirming care saves lives.

“The expectation is you attend 100 per cent of your meetings, and of course, life happens, people are sick, people go on vacation, priorities arise, and it’s really tough to be at two places at once."

EDITORIAL: While people will grumble, moan and complain about an enormous price increase to park at Lake Louise, the federal agency is fulfilling its guiding principle as it seeks ways for people to better access popular visitor locations and not just in personal vehicles.

A 4.5-hour public hearing on a proposed redevelopment plan for Banff's railway lands saw up to 25 speakers and 90 letter writers – both for and against the proposal.

COMMENTARY: When we understand housing as a human right, we acknowledge that decent, affordable housing is the responsibility of all levels of government and civil actors in society. Everyone deserves to live in dignity and security and have a place to call home.
