In a move that reflects the changing landscape of the media industry, the Bow Valley Crag & Canyon announced last week that it will be transitioning to a digital-only format.

“In residential zones for example, the primary purposes of those zones are for residences, and we all know that there is a housing challenge in Banff… we don’t want this commercial creep into those zones taking away from the primary purpose of those places."

“You would never be permitted to build that road today because of endangered species like bull trout, but also the understanding of the value of riparian zones."

COMMENTARY: It is a new year and a time of renewal. Many of us have made personal resolutions to eat healthier, produce less waste, and spend more time with family and friends.  But what about as a country – what can we, as Canadians, resolve to do better in 2023 and into the future?

The presentation by Jasper National Park’s caribou recovery program’s team members Lalenia Neufeld and Jean-Francois Bisaillon will discuss caribou and wolf population monitoring, managing species at risk and conservation breeding.
