COCHRANE— Cochrane RCMP are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Leonine O’Driscoll-Zak, 5, and Wyatt O’Driscoll-Zak, 2.

A press release from the RCMP says investigators believe the girls are with their aunt Allison O'Driscoll and grandmother Therese O'Driscoll.

The family is believed to be receiving assistance to prevent them from being found.

"The RCMP want to send a clear message to those that are assisting, that even if they believe they are acting in their best interests of the children, any assistance provided that contributes to the abduction is a criminal offence and the RCMP will investigate those involved and charges may be laid. Any assistance being provided is only exasperating the situation," reads the release. "Police have not stopped investigating and won’t stop until they locate the children."

The girls were last seen on March 12 at about 9:30 a.m. on a rural property in Cochrane

The disappearance of the children is currently being investigated as an abduction involving their grandmother and aunt.
