BOW VALLEY – Sweeping of the Legacy Trail in the Bow Valley should be completed before the May long weekend, but officials are reminding locals there are no services available inside the national park.

But officials warn potential users of the popular trail that services are limited or not available inside Banff National Park and in Canmore at this time.

The Town of Canmore posted on social media Wednesday (May 13) that sweeping of the trail is expected to be complete in time for the Victoria Day long weekend.

Those services include public washrooms, access to trailhead parking lots and vehicle access to secondary roads within the national park.

Trail users are responsible for their own safety and are required to practice physical distancing. Vehicle access for parking for users of the Legacy Trail is also limited.
