“To not have to be put on an agenda, have a report submitted before a certain time and then put on an agenda. It results in potentially a delay of six weeks or two months. I think this is something handled by the subdivision authority.”

“We’re asking that the matter go over to next month please so we can obtain disclosure, and decide on next steps,” said lawyer Eamon O’Keefe.

“They didn’t actually fall off a 100-metre vertical cliff, it was more a tumbling fall down scree…unfortunately, they suffered quite a bit of trauma.”

“I hope they hear meaningful stories from community members. It is important to understand who our community is what their story is. I think this exhibition shares an aspect of local culture that is really important.”

As the towns of Banff and Canmore have prioritized more active modes of transit, a new battle is taking place among some residents and visitors. Who has priority on the paths and/or trails and is it possible to simply share them and be respectful of one another?

“The skateboarding community and the people I’ve met at the skate parks have offered to help. The board shops fully sponsored us for everything we could’ve asked for. The whole skateboard community just wants to get people into skateboarding.

“There is a lot to do. We are looking for volunteers. One of the main areas is setup and take down. We would really appreciate people signing up.”

“Every hockey club talks about it, you want to win a championship. You want to be in the running when it comes to the playoffs.”
