Then we have people who have done a lot of singing in their past and want to keep going with that in a welcoming social environment.”

Despite receiving pushback from countless organizations, municipalities and associations, the UCP is full steam ahead with bringing in a provincial police force.

A trio of organizations gave arguments in their attempts to become intervenors in the Town of Canmore’s application to seek leave to appeal the Land and Property Rights Tribunal’s order to adopt the Smith Creek and Three Sisters Village area structure plans.

“This is a significant issue, and the board is satisfied that it is appropriate to modify condition 6 to clarify the applicant’s responsibilities and the testing to be carried out. The board modified condition six to specify that monitoring/testing wells must be located upslope from the intended location on the retailing well, since that is the area of concern for damage to the aquifer.”

“There is a professional report stating that the wildlife corridor should be protected dating back to 2004 on the MD of Bighorn website. It clearly stated that there should be a 180-metre setback from the Bow River to give the wildlife space and no building work was permitted.”
