PHOTOS: The past week in photography in the Bow Valley

Banff-Airdrie MP Blake Richards is celebrating a victory for grieving parents and a “significant step forward” on an issue he has been working on bringing to the attention of parliament since 2018.

"I think the hockey club is trending in the right direction. We have guys who haven't produced to where they would like to be, let alone where I like them to be, so we're starting to see some guys start to produce at greater levels. It's been a process to get there, but short-term goals, we need to score more goals."

Canada's mixed doubles curling trials have been green lit.

“For a community to be sustainable and welcome individuals from diverse economic backgrounds, we need to have a community where on average an individual can earn and grow and thrive in their community. If an individual cannot earn enough to have a decent standard of living, there is the risk of individuals and families moving to other more affordable community, which may further decrease our economic diversity and impact our workforce sustainability and our community feel.”

“I’m happy the developer has chosen visitor accommodation over tourist home, frankly, because I believe there are enough tourist homes on 2nd Ave. as it is. I do believe all the variances speak to the uniqueness to the corner. I’d probably say this is one of the most unique corners to try to develop on in all of Canmore.”
