“A single member of a party of three on the Aemmer Couloir of Mount Temple was hit by a sluff from the rock face above the couloir and knocked off his feet while cramponing.”

It flows into the Highwood (River), and is one of the places that would be most impacted because logging is planned along both sides of the creek, so we wanted to find out whether the bull trout were using Loomis Creek.”

The changes to recreation areas in Kananaskis were among 10 sites listed for deregulation throughout the province totalling 50 hectares.

“I think, generally, if we’re managing an area with conservation as the first priority, we’re also protecting it from a recreation perspective.”
