ParaNordic superstars Brian McKeever and Mark Arendz will be the special guests at this year at Rocky Mountain Adaptive's Shredability fundraiser Saturday (April 7) at Sunshine Village.
McKeever and Arendz helped lead Canada to a dominant performance at the 2018 Winter Paralympics in PyeongChang, as the two skiers won five and six medals respectively. The Canadian ParaNordic athletes have supported Shredability in the past, and teammate Brittany Hudak has accepted a position as a practicum student with Rocky Mountain Adaptive over the summer.
Shredability, now in its fifth year, is an all-mountain treasure hunt and fundraiser for Rocky Mountain Adaptive, which challenges skiers and snowboarders to find clues and participate in adaptive games. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. and teams of two must raise at least $200 for the organization to enter.
Funds raised go to the Canmore-based charity, which provides individuals with a disability the opportunity to participate in various activities, such as hiking, downhill skiing, kayaking, and much, much more.
