WHL Roundup: Sidorov's hat trick leads Saskatoon Blades past Winnipeg Ice 5-2

SASKATOON — Egor Sidorov netted a hat trick to lead the Saskatoon Blades to a 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Ice on Saturday.

Vaughn Watterodt and Jayden Wiens added the others for Saskatoon (16-5-0). Trevor Wong recorded three assists while Ethan Chadwick made 21 saves.

Aiden Oiring and Ty Nash replied for Eastern Conference-leading Winnipeg (22-3-0). Mason Beaupit stopped 17-of-22 shots.

Down 1-0 just 51 seconds into the game, the Blades shifted the momentum with three unanswered goals and went into the third period up 3-1.

After Oiring made it a one-goal game at 2:38 of the final frame, Sidorov sealed it by scoring two of his three goals, the last a power-play marker, on the night.
