Anton Levstik
April 6, 1931 – Prigorica, Yugoslavia
October 19, 2021 – Exshaw, Alberta
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anton (Tony) Levstik of Exshaw, AB. Tony leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Branka, sons Frank and Andrew (Pamela) both of Calgary, sister Rozi and numerous nieces and nephews across Canada and Europe.
Tony was born and raised in Prigorica and is the youngest of 11 children. Tony emigrated from Europe in 1949 and he married Branka in Toronto, Ontario. They later moved to Exshaw where they started their family. He worked at the Lafarge Cement Plant for 44 years working in various departments until his retirement in 1993. Tony was a proud member of the Slovenian Club of Calgary and always stayed current with events of his birth country. Tony was a valued member of this small community and will be missed.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Rockies in Canmore on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
