David Powell, lifelong resident of Banff, passed away peacefully with  his family by his side.

Born to John and Eleanor Powell, Dave was predeceased by seven siblings and sons, Darren and Cameron.  He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, sons Christopher, Lorne and Colin, five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Dave was easily loved as a husband and father. To know Dave was to love him.  It would fill volumes to write of his natural ease and qualities of his character.

Dave owned Dee Gee Meats and grocery, and later Dave’s Meats.  He was a master meat cutter.  He enjoyed many sports, and especially fishing with the lads in his beloved mountains. The family wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at  for their wonderful care at St. Martha's Place at the Mineral Springs Hospital.  Dave, we will always remember you for your great sense of humour and good nature.

A Celebration of life will be announced later in the Spring
