Iain Byron McJarrow Linsey

(May 29, 1989 – December 1, 2021)

Iain Linsey passed away tragically in a tractor accident while clearing fallen trees on his acreage. Taken from us far too soon, Iain leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Cara, two young children Freya and Lars, parents Byron and Joanne, siblings Brynn (Matt) and Leigh (Johanna), Nana Viola, mother-in-law Ann, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends. Iain grew up in Vancouver and Edmonton. After high school he completed a B.A. in History at Concordia University of Edmonton. In pursuit of livelihood he worked for Epcor in Edmonton, Parks Canada in Banff, and most recently Rocky View County in Bragg Creek. Iain held a deep love for his family and close friends. He found wonder and was most happy in the outdoors. His faith and love defined his soul. We will all miss his thoughtful nature, generosity, passion, humour, and fierce love. The family is overwhelmed by the love and generosity of extended family, friends, and strangers at this time of grief and sorrow. A memorial service will be held at a future date. To share memories, photos, or make a GoFundMe donation in support of Iain’s young family, please visit the McInnis and Holloway, Crowfoot website.
