Jennifer Ann Carson Turner

Jennifer Carson Turner passed away peacefully in Canmore, Alberta on October 10, 2022. Jennie’s long courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia ended in a beautiful place on a perfect Thanksgiving day, with her beloved family all gathered to give thanks for her wisdom, guidance and love – granddaughters Cassidy, Berkeley, Anna, and Norah; grandson Carson; daughter Andrea and husband Gary; sons Brad and partner Vanessa and Kevin and wife Robin; and husband Roger. She was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Jean Carson and one sister Avril and leaves to mourn two sisters Brenda and Marion (Don); brother Geoff (Kathy); brother-in-law David; niece Amanda; nephew Ken; and brother-in-law Dave Turner and his family. Jennie was born in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and immigrated to Saskatchewan at the age of 10.  She loved the Prairies but never lost her Irish. She was humble and proud, always true to herself and steadfast in her values.  While becoming a wonderful spouse, mother and grandmother, Jennie made the time for herself to grow many layers of amazing talent, style, and grace.  She made friends easily and kept them all.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr.’s Michalyshyn, Hogan, DeFina and Eeles and to every member of the staffs at Carewest Colonel Belcher in Calgary and Golden Eagle View in Canmore for your exceptional service and dedication. You made the journey much easier.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jennifer’s honour to the Vets Angels for Colonel Belcher or to the Canmore Health Foundation for Golden Eagle View.

Friends and family are invited to join a celebration of Jennie’s life at the family home in Canmore on Saturday October 22 between 1 and 4 pm.
