Linda Hopkins

 

Linda Claire Hopkins of Cochrane, AB, passed away on Dec 15, 2021, at the age of 60. She was born in St. Catherines, Ontario on March 31, 1961.

Linda was loving, supportive, resilient, thoughtful and compassionate. She moved across the country from St. Catharines, ON to Banff, AB. Linda loved living close to mountains in Banff, Canmore and Exshaw before moving to Cochrane. Gap Lake was a special place for Linda and her family. They would spend time at Gap Lake to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. Linda always expressed how the mountains brought her happiness, peace, and a place to reflect. 

For many years Linda was a dedicated administrative assistant for the Government of Alberta. Linda was a proud advocate of the AA community. She would do anything to help and support someone. Linda’s dogs: Lacey and Keeva, would spend most of the day together with her, keeping each other company. Linda had a way of always making everyone around her feel loved. She cherished all the wonderful time spent with family and friends.

Linda is survived by her loving child Henry Georgeson (Amanda) of Cochrane, AB,brothers, Norman Hopkins (Vicki) and Paul Hopkins as well as many nieces and nephews.Linda was predeceased by her father, mother, stepfather and sister. (John Hopkins, Rejane and Jack Coote and Nancy Hopkins).

The family wishes to thank all the staff at Tom Baker Cancer Center, Canmore Hospital, Cochrane Home Care and the Dulcina Hospice. The care Linda received was amazing.
