Lynda Jeanette Burgie

August 4, 1938 to December 11, 2022

Lynda was thankful to have been born and raised in the beautiful mountains of Canmore by her kind and loving parents. Her Dad and Mom came from Wales so that her Dad could work at the Canmore Mines and Mom enjoyed her life in Canmore with her parents and siblings and later with her own family.  She married Valmore and together they raised their children - Letitia (Ken) Goodman, Valerie (Fletcher) Hall, Michele (Dave) Surkan and Brian Burgie. She is survived by her four children along with her grandchildren, Clinton, Julie, Andrew, Jodi (Jeff), Erin (John) and great granddaughter Noelle.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Valmore of 57 years, parents Annie and Ben Rogers, brothers Doug, Llewellyn and Benjamin and sisters Winnie, Joan and Pauline.

Mom was always a role model for us children as she never spoke a bad word about anyone, was always thoughtful, considerate, kind and loving. Mom never complained about anything, including having to deal with several serious health issues in the latter part of her life.

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, preaching the good news of God's Kingdom was of utmost importance to Mom. She always shared the hope of the resurrection (Acts 24:15) to a paradise earth (Psalm 37:29) when there will be no more sickness and death (Revelation 21:3-4). Despite advancing age she continued to share those beautiful promises of the future with many in the Bow Valley.

We miss you Mom and look forward to seeing you again.
