Marjorie is survived by sons Doug(Dawne) and Norman(Michele); Grandchildren, Christopher Lewis(Taylor Wilkinson), Devin Lewis, Melissa Best(Nick), Christa Skimmings(Craig), Anna Jackson(Danny Tarasewich), Carmen Ferris(Khalil); Great Grandchildren, Aylah Lewis, Owen Briand, Ceilidh Ruff, Grady Ruff, Josh Skimmings, Tessa Skimmings, Anika Skimmings, Amirah Ferris and Malek Ferris; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Marjorie spent her teen years in Lougheed, Alberta. Marjorie trained to be a nurse at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, after a few years nursing in Edmonton she moved to Calgary, after meeting and marrying Lloyd she moved to Canmore. Once in Canmore Marjorie agreed to take a nursing position at the 12 bed Hospital on the hill for “maybe 1-2 years”…32 years later she was still working as Hospital Administrator and Executive Director at the Canmore General Hospital. Marjorie retired in 1989.

After their retirements Marjorie and Lloyd spent some time cruising and touring different locations around the world and enjoyed doing so with their family and friends. Marjorie loved spending time with her family and friends, sharing stories of her past, and in her spare time liked to knit and crochet, and of course stay on top of her Soap Operas.

Marjorie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Canmore Legion. Her and Lloyd were avid dart players and made a tremendous relationship within the Legion Dart community, travelling across Canada in competitions. They also enjoyed participating in the Senior Games.

A very special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Golden Eagle View Extended Care at the Canmore General Hospital who always treated Marjorie with such respect, care, and love. A special thanks as well to Dr. John Michalyshyn.

Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest with Lloyd in the Canmore Cemetery Field of Honor, in a private family ceremony.  A Celebration of Life will be planned in the future when conditions allow us to remember Marj.
