PIERRE CHAMBEFORT
Sept.25, 1959 – July 11, 2021
Pierre Chambefort, 61, passed peacefully at home in Canmore with his family at his side.
Born in Montreal, Pierre attended McGill University where he obtained a degree in Civil Engineering. After moving to Alberta he met his wife Monique and began his journey as a father to Jeremy and Benjamin. Pierre was an exceptional father and husband and made life an adventure for the people in his life.
Pierre spent his career as the Chief Engineer for Highway Engineering Services for Parks Canada. His biggest achievement was the twinning of the highway between Banff and Lake Louise but Pierre excelled at every job big and small.
Pierre is survived by his mother, France Laget-Chambefort, his wife Monique, sons Jeremy and Benjamin and sister Catherine Chambefort (Jacques Emond).
A sincere thank-you to all of Pierre’s friends and family, Dr. John Michalyshyn and Dr Jane Clarkson for your help along this journey.
We will hold you forever in our hearts.
When God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
He put his arms around you
And whispered come to me
He didn't like what you went through
And he gave you a rest
His garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best
And when we saw you sleeping
So peaceful and free from pain
We wouldn't wish you back
To suffer that again
Today we say goodbye
And as you take your final rest
That garden must be beautiful
Because you are one of the best
