Spencer Postman

April 5th, 2021 son to Wanda Murphy & Gerry Postman, brother to Ali Postman, and partner to Sarah Thomson, our beloved Spencer Gerrit Postman tragically and suddenly passed away.

Our family and friends are devastated by the enormity of this loss. Spencer’s enthusiasm for life was endless and boundless. Spencer was passionate about every aspect of his life, from his work at Juggernaut Exploration, his love of the outdoors, but most importantly his love for his family, and friends.

Spencer was known for his ability to make anyone he met feel welcomed, loved, and special. His contagious smile and presence brought a tremendous light to the world and has left an immense impact on those who have been lucky enough to have known him.

Spencer has taught us all to live in wonder and awe, to love life and promote kindness. Spencer’s heart was brimming with love, vibrancy, and pure light. We all strive to live life like Spencer did.

Spencer will be remembered forever in the smiles of our friends, the thrill of our adventures, the beauty of bluebird days in the mountains, and in the warmth of the sunshine on our faces.

We would like to thank Spencer’s wonderful friends who have sat with us sharing stories and filling our hearts in these, the most difficult days of our lives.

The family is in the process of setting up an endowment fund in honor of Spencer and his legacy. Those wishing to make a donation are invited to visit the Banff Canmore Community Foundation website.

A Celebration of Spencer’s life with friends and family to follow when Covid restrictions allow.

We are truly honoured to have known Spencer for the short time he has been with us.

Shine on, our sweet and precious Spencer.
