Editor: We wanted to give our sincerest condolences to the Roth family at the passing of Mr. Archie. I was one of those “strangers” when I arrived in Banff, walking at the third Vermilion Lake and Mr.

As November winds down and December and the big holiday season arrive, it’s easy for people to get caught up in the bright, cheery, festive aspect of everything that’s taking place.

With the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of this year fast approaching, it’s timely that the Town of Canmore dedicated a new memorial and field of honour at the cemetery for area residents who made the ultimate sacrifice.

With the NHL lockout battle between billionaires and millionaires now appearing to be of the season-long variety, it’s really refreshing to see the non-professional athletes in this valley going all out for the sport they love.
