Youth program offers free tutoring to Stoney Nakoda students

“We believe that education is another way to contribute to a strong community, and we hope to create an environment where culturally aware learning and services can be provided to children and youth. Other than our tutoring program, I don’t believe there is other tutoring offered here. Outside the community, of course, there’s the Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and Area which is a great organization. We also wanted to do something here."

Youth program hosts Halloween drive-in movie event for Stoney Nakoda Nation

The Chiniki Rodeo Grounds will be the site for two free drive-in movies, a pumpkin lantern festival and a costume contest. Gates will open to the grounds at 4 p.m., with Halloweentown showing at 5 p.m. and A Nightmare on Elm Street playing at 8 p.m.
