“It is hard to replicate community and seeing films with your friends with live theatre, with amazing sound systems, and so on. That is the real part of the festival we are looking forward to, getting everyone together again.”

Primary care is the cornerstone of a high-functioning healthcare system. Yet, many Albertans are struggling to find a family doctor, or if they are lucky enough to have a family doctor, to get an appointment in a timely fashion. 

Stories from the Îethka, a series of three oil paintings and one pencil drawing by Îyârhe Nakoda artist Gordon Wesley, is the fall instalment of a year-long rotating art exhibition series from the City of Calgary highlighting the work of Treaty 7 Indigenous artists and their connection to the land.

The recent killing of a mamma black bear and two cubs have once again shined a light on the role humans have in preventing human-wildlife conflicts. The Bow Valley has long prided itself on limiting human-wildlife conflicts and for good reason.

Things can enter in, but in this case, we’re not necessarily worried about something being introduced from a pipe being broken – it’s just part of the process and a boil water advisory is issued until repairs are complete.”
