“The skateboarding community and the people I’ve met at the skate parks have offered to help. The board shops fully sponsored us for everything we could’ve asked for. The whole skateboard community just wants to get people into skateboarding.

A 24-year-old Stoney Nakoda resident is facing 26 charges after police responded to a call for shots being fired from a vehicle Aug. 17.

They are convenient, inexpensive and versatile but plastics are harming our health and our planet. Recognizing the damaging effects of plastic pollution, the federal government recently announced regulations limiting single-use plastics. But they do not go far enough to protect human health or ensure environmental sustainability.

A 33-year-old Morley resident is facing multiple charges in relation to the death of a Fort Saskatchewan woman killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1A near Morley Road Friday night (Aug. 19).

“The community choir is open to anybody who wants to sing about ages 18 and up. We have people with zero experience and who cannot read music, but always wanted to sing. Then we have people who have done a lot of singing in their past and want to keep going with that in a welcoming social environment.”
