Editor: Two-tiered health care is again rearing its (ugly) head via the UCP candidate for this riding.
I thought we put that beast to rest years ago.
I don’t think this candidate understands that when you take docs and nurses and X-ray techs out of the public system to service the private (rich or richer) patients, that it stresses the public system so that it can’t deliver the excellent care for which it is world-famous.
Why go this route? And, if you want to look at the record of past governments, why not look to the 1990s in Alberta where the government of the day (which was not the New Democrats) slashed, burned, and imploded health care in this province.
