Grateful for support in the valley

Editor:  On May 25, Bow Valley Connections Centre held a bottle drive as a fundraising effort to continue the social and community programming we provide to residents of the Bow Valley living with a developmental disability.

Even though it was a rainy and cold day, the event turned out to be a great success for our organization.

On behalf of the board and our members, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone in the community, business owners, volunteers and the kind employees at the Bottle Depot who helped us make it a successful venture.

Even though it was a rainy and cold day we were bolstered by the residents who offered us a cup of tea or an umbrella, who took part of their morning to look for any extra deposit item in their house, the businesses who contributed sizeable donations of their refundable items, and to all those who were interested in our organization and what we do.
The day was a great reminder that the Bow Valley is a great place to forge connections and that the members of our organization and its vision are supported by this community.
