I am so sick of hearing about how we need to support our local businesses and then seeing everyone stand casually by and watch a local business get crucified for a tragedy that had nothing to do with them.
Howling Dog Tours Ltd. was in no way linked to the massacre of sled dogs in Whistler earlier this year and yet, despite all their efforts to inform the community of that, no one seems to care.
Howling Dog Tours Ltd. has stated numerous times that they have had no interest in the Whistler dogsledding operation since 2004 through multiple forms of media, and yet people are still treating them like criminals.
I hope all you local business owners out there realize that Howling Dog Tours Ltd. drives tourists into our community every day, and the staff and owners send patrons to your restaurants and shops through recommendations on every tour they give.
So for all of you out there pleading ignorance to the facts, you better hope your business doesn’t have the misfortune of being saddled by a tragedy that is completely out of your control like Howling Dog Tours Ltd. has been.
