LETTER: Banff residents have already rejected paid parking twice

Ignoring the wishes of the residents, the Banff council is once again trying to push paid parking through.

I've spoken to a number of people and most of them don't know that the Town is trying to bring in paid parking again.

They, like myself, had assumed the issue was settled. Twice the residents have voted against it. When the Town started it up in some areas there was a petition to stop it.

Council seems to forget that they are working for, and being paid by, the residents. They just keep on their own agenda in spite of what the residents want.

It's important that the residents are aware of what is happening and express their views, again.

Take the survey at banffviewpoints.ca which already assumes paid parking has been approved and phone or email the Town to remind them about what the residents have already voted on.

There is a spot on the survey page to send in questions.
