A recent article in the Outlook reported that Banff town council has got an inkling that Bylaw is not bringing in enough dough.
There’s a pretty penny to be made in enforcing the 30 km/h limit on Banff Avenue.
It’s a snail’s pace, but by speeding you won’t save much more than a minute before hitting the downtown lights.
It’s a stately pace, as if your errand is not so urgent.
When you’re doing 30 km/h, it doesn’t hurt so much to be a pedestrian or bicyclist.
Maybe just enforce the speed limit in the double-30 sections: the Rotary Park and the high school.
Maybe only drivers going over 50 km/h should still balance the budget.
