LETTER: Hypocritical – and typical – Canmore

I really don't understand why so many people have an issue with the Three Sisters development going forward.  ure, you
say it is about the habitat destruction and the wildlife corridor. But, is it really?

I've been around Canmore long enough to know that the biggest issue people have with new developments, is simply that it may lower the value of their own home.

You may lose the million dollar view from your already overpriced home, and you don't like it.

After all, if it was really about the wildlife corridor, you wouldn't be living here yourself, because you would realize that Canmore is in the middle of a forest. Our entire town is a wildlife corridor.

But, oh no, it's OK for you to live in the corridor, and have a nice view of the mountains. You just don't want anyone else to have that opportunity.

It's time the people of this town stop being so hypocritical and self entitled, and let the town expand to let others enjoy what we have.

Don't they deserve it too?

Jason Wilkinson,

Canmore
