Editor:
The editorial cartoon appearing in Volume 20, Issue 30 of the vultures musing on mask wearing is deeply offensive and completely inappropriate.
To surmise that non-mask wearing and supposedly not social distancing ”enough” is akin to a death sentence is appalling and crosses a line.
We live in Canada where free speech is encouraged and we benefit from differing views, regardless of our opinions.
I would have hoped that there would be some sort of journalistic standard to be upheld, however, this is clearly not the case.
The insinuation of this type of message undermines our freedoms as Canadians and our intelligence to make our own informed decisions.
