The morning of Sept. 15, I went with my sister to artsPlace in Canmore as she wanted to sign up for a painting course this fall and we both wanted to get tickets for an upcoming concert.

I parked the car right in front of the artsPlace doors and then searched to find the box where I would have to register my car while parked. This box was at the opposite side of the parking lot. It was not a huge distance, but still annoying and bothersome for my sore back. Anyway, off I marched to the box and twice tried to register my car with no luck.

We went into the building to sign up for the concert/art workshops, hoping I would not get nabbed for not having registered the car properly. Once inside, my sister decided she would not sign up for anything because of the problems with having to register the car. Neither of us owns cell phones and the system appears made for those who own them.

I wonder how many other people will be turned off as well and how much it will affect attendance at artsPlace events. In past years, we have attended many events and will miss going to them this fall and winter.
