It seems a survey presented to Banff council on June 22, 2020, that was based on the responses of 508 respondents for proposed new smoking/toking/vaping regulations, will be the basis to determine new and more restricted areas where people will not be allowed to smoke, toke, or vape in Banff, including "municipal parks and green spaces, trails, outdoor markets, outdoor events, pedestrian zones, and public sidewalks, among others.”

If these changes are approved, there might as well be big  “No smoking within Banff Town limits” signs at each entrance. One benefit would be a decrease in traffic because many international travellers would probably not visit, and Banff Lake Louise Hospitality and Banff Lake Louise Tourism could concentrate their marketing on locations with the same kind of restrictions.

Not elaborated upon is how a person determines that Banff’s air "is unclean”.
