Re:  "Banff mayor responds to accusations of financial wrongdoing", published in the Thursday, July 30 edition of the Rocky Mountain Outlook.

It seems to me that if former staff sergeant Barry Kelly felt compelled, after spending much of his own uncompensated time investigating the Sorensens/Manulife/Town of Banff situation, to affix his name to the Report To Citizens that it is likely that there are numerous truths contained within the Report to Citizens.

Mr. Kelly, who served 35 years with the RCMP, also worked in uniform in Banff during the Parks Canada/Warden firearm issue and for Banff special events.

He is a long-term resident of Banff who has served twice on the Development Appeal Board (DAB).

Barbara McNeil, the independent investigator employed by the Town to investigate the MacVicar/Kelly accusations, also served at the same time on the DAB as Mr. Kelly.

And please don't forget that as a 35-year RCMP veteran, former Staff Sergeant Kelly is a trained and experienced professional investigator whose job for many years was to investigate criminal wrongdoing.
