People from all over the world dream of coming to Banff someday.
That dream would exceed their wildest expectations if they came at this time of year and attended the "In Search of the Spirit of Christmas."
Snow had been falling for most of the day, the whole town a true winter wonderland even before entering the event. Once we began, we followed the friendly owl in search of other forest creatures who could help find the spirit of Christmas.
The pine martens leading the way, the bear with cubs, fish jumping in the streams, the wolf howling at the moon, all complete with appropriate sound effects, then a friendly moose sending us on our way. It was truly magical.
Banff & Lake Louise Tourism are to be commended for such a wonderfully creative event – a Christmas experience not to be missed or forgotten.
