Editor:

I would like to acknowledge the heroic selfless acts of kindness, compassion and care I received on Sunday, Nov. 8 on Johnson Lake.

I am sorry that I cannot recall names, but from the gentleman who made the call for help, the two young women with medical experience, to the countless number of people who skated back and forth on the lake to retrieve blankets, clothes and warm drinks from their vehicles.

After a few months, please come by the post office and introduce yourselves, as I would love to meet and thank you in person.

I will never forget your acts of kindness.

The first responders and care workers – thank you for every day – but extra thanks for that Sunday. You are our community heroes.

Thanks for my friends, who are truly a blessing, and my family for literally everything and getting me through it. My post office family and friends – thank you for all the well wishes, offers of assistance and support.

From the bottom of my heart, I am so thankful and grateful to every one of you.

Greg Christou,

Banff
