This letter was originally sent to Banff-Kananaskis MLA Miranda Rosen.

We are writing to express my dismay, disbelief and disgust with you and your political party’s abject failure to manage the COVID-19 pandemic.

As you know, the provincial government has now requested emergency field hospitals to deal with this crisis, and your so-called leader has stated that this is a “responsible” action.

Where was his responsibility when the province was in a position to medically contain the virus several months ago?

You and your colleagues were apparently preoccupied with undoing the social and environmental fabric of Alberta in pursuit of libertarian drivel and destructive neoliberalism.

Perhaps criminal charges will be in order when your negligence and its impact on Alberta’s health care system are thoroughly examined.

You are now jeopardizing doctors, nurses, health care workers, kitchen staff, custodians, medical technicians, EMS staff, not to mention the public in general, in a manner that is not only unconscionable, but also demonstrates a level of stupidity that is beyond reckoning.

Clearly, you and your pathetic government are incapable of leadership during this critical time.

We strongly recommend that you resign your MLA position effective immediately.

We can then replace you with someone who has the intelligence, courage, and foresight to act with the caring and compassion that are now required.

Robert and Priscilla Janes,

Canmore
