The Land and Property Rights Tribunal decisions on the Smith Creek and Three Sisters Village area structure plans is an excellent example of the problems with our current economic system where the main priority is economic growth at the expense of everything else.

In a well-being economy, the main priority is the quality of life for all people and the planet. The 1992 Natural Resources Conservation Board decision stated it made what was “in the public interest” for Alberta. When will we question what “public interest” actually means?
