Re: vox populi in volume 19 issue 36 “Eagles seeking billet homes,” again.

Speaking from personal experience, when we lived in the Bow Valley (2014-18), we read the same outcry for homes for the hockey players.

We would have loved to help a player have a home for their hockey season. But, we had two bedrooms and four to our family, not including the dog. We didn’t have the space for them.

Every year we would mention the issue to friends who had a home in Canmore, without childen and they also didn't have space for the players, but would have loved to help out. They didn’t have space because they were renting rooms in their house to make mortgage payments.

We believe the housing issue for billeting players extends beyond people not having time and touches on the touchy housing issue in the Bow Valley.

Most people in the Bow Valley are very giving of their time, talent and love stepping up to help however, there are real restrictions identified in this ongoing billeting issue.
