This is to the fine officers or officer who decided to post fines to families who were out enjoying a day of hiking and enjoying the outdoors at Grotto Canyon during this time of the pandemic.

Due to limited parking in the designated parking lot, there were up 50 vehicles parked along the side of the road and probably being given a $160 ticket. Why not a warning and provide information?

These vehicles were parked outside the signed no-parking area. The two-kilometre sign was on the other side of the road and no one parked there and no one parked near the entrance to the walk.

This is low hanging fruit for the police and very poor usage of their time.

Always try to support the police as they do have a hard job to perform, but this was totally uncalled for.

Very disappointed with the Canmore police department. You can certainly do better.
