Thanks for the memories

Dear Editor, I’d like to join you in thanking Ignatieff’s Liberals for coming to the Bow Valley – the renewed interest of the Federal Liberals in rural Alberta is years, if not decades, over due.

Dear Editor,

I’d like to join you in thanking Ignatieff’s Liberals for coming to the Bow Valley – the renewed interest of the Federal Liberals in rural Alberta is years, if not decades, over due. It’s refreshing to see that they are concerned about general issues like affordable housing and the environment.

One can only hope that, as they spend more time in the West, they will reconsider their continual support of the repressive Canadian Wheat Board Monopoly, the ineffective and wasteful long-gun registry and the unequal and unelected Senate.

I also applaud Ignatieff’s recognition of the Bow Valley’s (as you put it) “significant support” for the Liberals. Indeed, whereas only one in 20 voters across Wildrose supported them in the last election, an impressive one in eight, or 12 per cent, voted for them in Banff, Canmore and Exshaw. In fact, they succeeded in achieving third place in eight polls out of 42 in the Bow Valley. I wish them the best of luck in achieving similar successes in the future.

Thanks for visiting.
