In November of last year, LGMS parent council suggested our students become involved with a contest. The aim of this contest was to promote our Canadian National Parks. This worked well in the context of our humanities program.

At Monday’s (April 13) council meeting, Councillor Karlos asked the planning department to answer a question he had regarding the Land Use Bylaw (LUB). Essentially (not a quote), the question was, “Who has the last word regarding the LUB.

Editor: The Town of Banff (TofB) now advertises upcoming Banff events in the RMO. The TofB Information page published on page 7 in the April 2 edition informs readers that Bylaws 346 and 347 Public Hearing will be held April 13, 2 p.m.

Editor: I’m concerned about the health of Alberta’s wetlands, along with the watersheds of which they are part. Yet when I express my concerns, I’m told, “Alberta’s government cares about watersheds.

Editor: My great aunt Alice Maude Peyto was a resident of Banff, together with her husband Charles Henry Peyto. Sadly, both are now deceased.
