Editor: With all the commotion about the pay parking a thought occurred to me: Why not go the way of Walt Disney World? The off-site parking they have works for two main reasons: 1) Most revenue comes from a customer’s wallet, not their car.

Editor: Re: Plenty of leadfoots on highway for Heritage weekend (RMO, Aug. 7). Bow Valley residents, at frequent intervals, read about the latest wildlife casualties on their high(and rail)ways.

Editor: Paid parking in the Town of Banff will create additional revenues for the Town which will ultimately result in reduced property taxes for residents and businesses (how that money is subsequently used is an entirely separate can of worms).

Editor: I would like to write to say how much we enjoy and recommend Gerry Stephenson’s mine tour presented by the Canmore Museum and Geoscience Centre.

Editor: In response to a letter published, July 31, I must say that the person could not have been at the meeting, judging from the letter’s content.

Editor: Re: “Shameful Display By BRAPP”, a letter written by Banff resident, Chris Neve, published in both the Crag and the Outlook. The identical title, supplied by Mr. Neve, was used in both papers. I asked Mr. Neve if he had attended the meeting.

Editor: In response to a letter from an irate Canmorite in last week’s paper in regards to the trial of a payment system for use at the local tennis courts, I thought some clarification might be beneficial.

Editor: So, about paid parking … Wait, I know you’re tired of hearing about it and you’d probably like to skip this, but please hear us out.

Editor: RE: Pay parking trials This letter is for the record and to inform of the Banff Residents Against Pay Parking’s (BRAPP) position. Firstly, BRAPP respects the opinions of all sides.

Editor: Regarding the tragically regular items about wildlife fatalities on the highways in the Canmore/Banff/Lake Louise area ... I am constantly stunned at the continuing death toll, yet ongoing lack of action.
