Editor: While I was watching and monitoring the news of the disaster to the Bow Valley and beyond from afar, I feel compelled to recognize the collaboration, leadership and support that was evident at the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital during my abse

Editor: Last week, the Bow Valley Riding Association club grounds overflowed with rocks and waste when the creek east of us jumped its banks. There are many tons of rock and debris that have covered roadways and horse paddocks.

Editor: I am writing this letter to make you aware of a wonderful women, Kelly O’Donnell, who was acting manager at the Husky gas station at Dead Man’s Flats at the time of the disaster.

Editor: We would like to add our voice to the many people who are thanking the emergency response teams and equipment operators for the heroic work they did during the flood. They worked long and difficult hours as long as it was needed.

Editor: To Mayor Borrowman and the town of Canmore: My name is Nicole Toutant and I am from Prince Albert, Sask. I was travelling with some family for a house boating trip on Shuswap Lake on June 19.

Editor: We would like to thank the various helicopter companies who responded to many local communities during the recent flooding emergency.

Editor: The past week has proven that Canmore is full of heroes. I want to share one very personal experience that made a huge difference to me. Early morning on Saturday, June 22 I lost my glasses somewhere in the Civic Centre.
