LETTER: It’s been almost five years since Canmore as implemented the Vanlife – also known as the Safe Park program – and we are still dealing with a shortage of (underpaid) employees in the community. How is that possible?

The avalanche victim was located by researchers in a helicopter because a ski was visible.

“They’re run well. We’ve had challenges learning about the difference between winter and summer as far as range and we’ve been able to work through those partially because we’re a little slower in winter than summer so we have additional buses we can switch out. Our biggest challenge on the Proterra side has been with the bankruptcy and the unknown and the inability for some suppliers to ship parts.”

COMMENTARY: As traffic volumes increase, safety decreases and carbon emission reduction suddenly becomes less important and relevant than the personal tragedy of injured or lost loved ones.

LETTER: What’s missing in Sylvie Pappas’ letter to the editor “Youth should be more mature until making life-altering decisions” in the Feb. 29 edition of the Outlook and Keith Thompson’s letter in the March 19 edition, is the recognition that gender-affirming care saves lives.

EDITORIAL: While people will grumble, moan and complain about an enormous price increase to park at Lake Louise, the federal agency is fulfilling its guiding principle as it seeks ways for people to better access popular visitor locations and not just in personal vehicles.
